Chief’s Message

I would like to welcome you to the Northwest Regional Police Department’s web site. The Northwest Regional Police Department formed in October of 2003 when the Townships of Mount Joy and West Donegal took the progressive step to merge their police departments in order to better serve their residents with professional and efficient police services.

With the support of our Police Commission, our department has grown in size and experience, most notably adding a criminal investigative division and a K9 unit. Our agency is continuously looking for opportunities to progress our services through training and specialization, and we have developed partnerships with Lancaster County including the County Drug Task Force, County SERT, County Computer Crimes and Human Trafficking Task Forces, and the County CRASH team.

Our department is grateful for the support of so many individuals and organizations who have partnered with us to make our community outreach endeavors a success. Without this support events like National Night Out, Cones with a Cop and Cram a Cruiser would not be nearly successful as they have been.  We are blessed to serve a community who truly appreciates and supports the work we do, and are grateful for the regular gestures of support that we have received from so many.

Our department is continuously looking for ways to innovate by creating new programs and forming new partnerships in order to further our mission of providing safety and improved quality of life within our communities through excellence in policing.

I encourage you to contact us with any ideas that would assist us in this goal.

Michael R. Bryant, Chief of Police
